What is project-based execution?

We do not do the “square peg in a round hole” where other companies try to submit their recycled, ill-fitting candidates by coaching them with the right script to use in interviews and then using pressure tactics to push candidates through.

Our searches start from ground zero. We run the search like a typical software project where the requirements are understood with an intake meeting and analyzed to match the available talent pool. Submissions are fully based around the needs of the client. All candidates are 100% passive (happily employed) and sourced real-time as opposed to coming from stale, tired recycled databases. Projects have time defined deliverables & milestones. The client is always kept in the loop using our weekly dashboard metrics reporting. Unlike other agencies we do not simply “disappear” and abandon project.

All projects undergo a feasibility study where we analyze the role in depth and determine rate of success within project parameters. We only take projects that are feasible and will succeed. This means we will never do the disappearing act. If for some reason we cannot attract the right talent (client bad branding) we will inform the client. 100% transparency & accountability to set the right expectations.

Why a team-based approach?

Sourcing talent like sales is a numbers game. To find the RIGHT talent you need to reach out to a wide pool of qualified talent for direct hiring and getting referrals. And this is where the typical agency’s execution is flawed. They tap into their database, pull out a few candidates, submit them and hope someone will get hired! This is the wrong way to execute where you push through candidates knowing they are not the right candidates. It is these practices that give the industry a bad name.

We start from scratch and start by allocating a team of 4 specialists to the role that includes researchers, sourcers, outreach and story tellers. This quadruples sourcing and recruiting efforts that leads to submitting more qualified candidates and having a bigger pool to hire from. End result is faster hiring with the RIGHT talent!!

What is iceberg sourcing?

Due to time constraints and in some cases lack of sourcing expertise a lot of recruiters take the easy path – source where there is minimal effort required with no research or analysis whatsoever. A lot of them unfortunately end up sourcing within the same candidate pools. End results – the same set of subpar candidates that have hyped up their profiles and are actively looking for work.

Quality sourcing requires a lot of prep work that includes researching and analyzing the market place and talent pools. It means working smart and sourcing talent where no one is actively looking. True gold nuggets.

We call this iceberg sourcing. A typical iceberg is submerged 90% below the water surface. What you see or is visible is the 10% – this is where the majority of recruiters source. To be truly successful they need to go to the “hidden” invisible part of the iceberg. This is where you find your gold nuggets or “purple squirrels” – hidden candidates within hidden companies!

What does 100% passive talent sourcing, real-time mean?

We do not tap into old stale database of recycled candidates. We do not push you to accept candidates from previous searches that in all likelihood will not be a great match (every company is different with differing needs).

All searches or projects start from afresh. All sourcing is done real-time from ground zero. Our prime focus is to source happily employed (100% passive) talent. This ensures better outcomes.

Why dashboard reporting?

Contingency agencies have a bad rap. They will take on any project and then try their luck. They go for the low hanging fruit – tap into their databases and see if something sticks. If no luck then abandon project and repeat the same process with the next client.

The major flaw with this approach is that the client is pretty clueless about the status of the project. Is the agency actively engaged? Do they have any intentions of seeing the project through? Do they intend to dedicate serious effort to the search?

We do not like to keep the client in the dark. Weekly dashboard metrics reporting will give a true assessment of where we stand and our plans for coming weeks. We believe in full transparency.

What is a pipeline guarantee?

Our pipeline guarantee protects you from future attrition for a full 12 months after placement. This means should the candidate fall off for any reason we will pass on our listing of pipeline candidates with contact details to help you refill this role. We will maintain this pipeline listing on your behalf and ensure it is up to date with candidate details

How long does a project last?

Depends on the complexity of the role. A complex role lasts around 4 weeks. Week 1 – we get our ducks in a row (all initial research, analysis, template design, marketing reach out completed). Week 2 – Week 4 submissions with weekly dashboard reporting with final hiring.

How soon can you get started?

As soon as a HM/recruiter fact finding/intake meeting is scheduled. The fact finding meeting takes around an hour where we understand  the role and the organization in depth.

What is a feasibility study?

To ensure success we only take searches that pass our feasibility test. We have a 48 hours turnaround where we will let you know if we will take on the project
